Production Notes
- The We Praise Him CD is the final product of a journey that started as an idea in late 2008 when we looked/listened to the choir and band and saw/heard a special and extremely rare convergence of musical talent, passion and inspiration. This ultimately evolved into a real plan with a plan, schedule and a budget. Production planning began in January of 2009, with recording running from March through July, then post-production through early October.

Fun Facts about the CD
- We Praise Him was recorded in 5 different locations in and around Ann Arbor, MI between March and July of 2009, plus a live recording at St. Mary Student Parish on September 13, 2009 for High & Exalted.
- The guitar section used 7 different instruments and 5 different amplifiers comprising of acoustic & electric guitar, electric baritone and bass guitar.
- All the songs on this recording were recorded, mixed and mastered on a laptop computer.
- We Praise Him was released on Friday November 6, 2009 in conjunction with a live concert, An Evening of Praise. This was an opportunity for attendees to hear the Newman Choir live outside of mass as well as an end to the long journey of producing We Praise Him.

Producer’s Thanks
- The reoccurring phrase that was thought and shared throughout the course of this project was, “this CD is truly blessed!” Producing We Praise Him was as much a faith journey as it was a musical journey.
- This started from the time it was approved and continued throughout until the release.
- Examples of this would be things such as having catastrophic equipment failure after a final take on a song, people donating time and equipment, and people just stepping up in various capacities to make this all happen.

- First and foremost, thanks to Father Tom McClain, Pastor of St. Mary Student Parish, for entrusting us to do this and believing that it was something of value and beauty that we could share with St. Mary’s and beyond.
- Thanks to the St. Mary Student Parish staff. These folks do all the work behind the scenes to make it such a great place and make projects like this possible.
- Thanks to the people, sometimes not even from our parish, who donated equipment, time, and even free studio space to get this recorded.
- Thanks to everyone in the band for the hard work, dedication and inspired playing. There were times when these talented musicians had to record in some unorthodox conditions with the recording team providing direction and doing multiple takes to get what we were looking for. When we called, they answered with a simple, “when and where do you need me.” You are quite simply the most inspired, talented and dedicated band one could hope to work with!
- Thanks to the Newman Choir, you are all truly amazing! These folks volunteered their time for extra rehearsals and several recording sessions, and then were there for An Evening of Praise release concert. In addition, some members spent additional time for some solo recording, CD graphic design, promotional work and website design.
